Trade Policy Committee deputies meet in Brussels. The TPC agenda is broken into two major parts, World Trade Organization issues and bilateral/regional issues. On WTO issues, deputies will discuss the WTO following the ministerial meeting in Buenos Aires, dispute settlement, the accession of Belarus, the trade body’s government procurement agreement and Article 28 negotiations. They will also discuss the Group of 20 Trade & Investment Working Group and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development ministerial meeting, set for later this month.
Other matters on the TPC agenda include negotiations on the modernisation of the EU-Chile association agreement, the EU-Singapore free trade deal, the EU-Uzbekistan enhanced partnership and cooperation agreement and implementation of the CETA, the bloc’s trade accord with Canada.
